Thyme smells wonderful

If you want a nice scent in your kitchen keep a pot of Thyme around. It is very easy to grow and was known in ancient times as a room purifier.

Thyme is actually a small evergreen shrub that has light purple flowers when in bloom during the Summer. It is a perennial and a member of the mint family. It’s a really easy plant to grow in your garden or in a planter on a sunny porch. You will be able to have fresh Thyme all summer long and even into the Fall. By growing it yourself inside you can harvest it all year long. What you don’t use fresh you can easily dry and keep in a jar to use whenever you want to. If growing Thyme is not for you then you can always buy it in your local grocery store in the produce section.
